I received this book from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.Ī lot of the comics and manga I've read are passable, or even good. Think outside the box of nicely formatted storytelling and things will be a lot clearer.Rereading this series after three years has just got me thinking one thing:īlame! is a place where art is the story, words are optional and loneliness is inevitable

Because nihei likes to reuse terminology over his series people often feel the urge to connect the stories. Try to connect it to biomega or kos or aposimz or star wars and it becomes a right mess. It’s an amazing work of world building and it is its own thing entirely.

It’s like existence made a step sideways and changed to an entirely different plane where humanity (and NOT silicon life) looks like that and lives on this worm thing and has done so for thousands and thousands of years just like Earth’s humanity had lived on Earth for thousands of years before the switch.īlame! is obscure and cryptic but it makes a lot of sense. In biomega the worm world doesnt take time for it to build, it’s not created when the switch happens, it was there all along as in an entire existence with a history different from the one of the existence of the Earth just exists and has existed for billions of years all of a sudden. So based on my theory the chronology should look like this:īiomega > NOiSE > Blame! > Blame!2 > BiomegaĪaaaaand that's it, I haven't read Biomega in depth so I've might be mistaken and there's a lot of chances that you guys have some argument to obliterate my theory. Also if we see the last panels of Blame!2 we can see some structures that are really similar of the ones that are in the Recreator-world. What I'm saying here its that the villagers that we see in the Recreator-world of Biomega are descendants of the village that Pcell achieved to rebuild.

Now, what about if the villagers that we see in the Recreator-world are in fact descendants of silicon creatures? if we go to the end of Blame!2 we see one of the descendants of Pcell reaching the limits of the Megastructure thanks to Killy, and then she just flies away into outer space "in order to rebuild her old village". I've seen that most people say that the chronology of Nihei's universe is something like this:īut I've been thinking, ¿what about if the events that take place in Biomega are before AND after Blame!? I believe that when in Biomega Zouichi, Fuyu and all protagonists are transported to the spaghetti of 4.8 billion kilometers its more like a time travel than just a teleportation, I just don't buy that the Recreator-world (I think that's how its called) was created in just a few seconds, so lets say that the Recreator-world took a few thousand years to be created, just enough time for the events of NOiSE, Blame! and Blame!2 to take place. Are there still some survivors lurking through these corridors?Īnyway, hello everyone this is my theory:
